Ceramic Coffee Mug

I don't know about you, but, as a coffee drinker, I simply can't do without my morning ritual of a cup of java. And, in order to make this ritual even more enjoyable, I have a whole shelf of ceramic coffee mugs to suit my mood of the day.For thousands of years now, people have been forming clay into pleasing shapes, drying, firing, and decorating -- and all for the pleasure of consuming the contents. After all, nothing else will do!

More Than Just A Cup

As an emergency measure, from time to time, we all grab a cup at the local drive-thru. However, we insist our coffee be properly served on other occasions. Fundamental to this experience is the ceramic coffee mug which through its color, decoration, feel, shape, texture and weight allows us to thoroughly celebrate and enjoy the full taste and aromas of a cup of coffee.

There's nothing more comforting or pleasing on a chilly winter day than warming your palms on a hot ceramic coffee mug. The feel of the mug, whether it's smooth or textured, is part of the seasonal pleasure. A pedestal style mug, safe to set on furniture, lends a touch of elegance while a thick, heavy mug has a substantial feel in your hand, and also keeps your coffee hot longer.

A Rainbow Of Colors

Many people collect ceramic coffee mugs in every color, pattern, shape and size that one can imagine, from countries all over the world. Perhaps you're one of those lucky enough to enjoy your cup of coffee in a ceramic mug silk-screened with a Van Gogh print.

Wouldn't you love to reach for a rounded globe-on-pedestal designed mug in lavender and blue floral from Portugal? You'll soon be refreshed from its Mediterranean-inspired effect of cooling, soothing, dreams-of-lavender-fields.

Having a bad day? Feeling the blues, or stressed? For just the special lift you need, reach for that brightly colored mug with your grandchild's photo, or an inspirational quote.

On a dreary, gray and rainy day, how about reaching for that French turquoise and yellow floral oversized ceramic coffee cup and saucer that bestows a romantic feel of Paris to the brew.

An Italian coffee mug, with its cheerful colors and patterns is inviting any hour of the day, year-round. Make that after-dinner espresso an elegant affair with a set of Italian demitasse mugs and saucers.
